Trip to the Big Apple (BLOG).

Spread the love

Our daughter Cami was driving us crazy with the fact that she wanted to visit the Great Apple and since my husband and I had already been to New York City and knew about the breath taking views, the great variety of cultures and food and everything else the great city had to offer we decided it was time for her to experience it on her own (and lets be honest New York City never gets old). Below is a short collection of pictures my family and I took while a 5 day vacation to New York City. We didn't expect it to be as cold as it was and we arrived totally under dressed, so we were left with no choice but to gear up on extra winter wear. Bear in mind we were coming from sunny South Florida were it was 90 degrees into an unexpected 30 degrees (it was way to cold for us, but we survived)

She was pretty amazed at atmosphere Times Square, Midtown Manhattan had to offer, a little bummed out because the worlds largest Toys R Us has closed a month before and she had her hopes on riding the ferris wheel that was inside of it. She did just fine though with the worlds largest M&M store :).

She actually thought she could move the Charging Bull, Financial District, Lower Manhattan just a little naive of her don't you think ?

We visited the Bronx Zoo, Bronx which was really nice.

For some reason this is the only picture we took of Central Park, located in the heart of Manhattan. Funny enough we walked the park from one side to the other as we visited American Museum of Natural History and The Metropolitan Museum of Art and it felt like we walked an eternity but compared to the park its self we only walked so little. One thing I do wish was that our trip would have been longer because those two Museums were so big and so amazing to run through them like we did, but its's on our list for our next visit.

Cami waiting for the train, with her normal sass.

Me posing my peace to the world on The Top of the Rock, Rockefeller Building, Midtown Manhattan.

My love and I sharing a kiss with the Empire State building in the background while on our way down from The Top of the Rock, Rockefeller Building, Midtown Manhattan.

Cami was at awe when we came face to face with The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island (it was so cold by the way that on all the pictures she looks way too funny to post, and she claims she has a reputation to take care of)

My view from the Empire State Building, Midtown Manhattan was breath taking.

Cami and I at the LOVE  Sculpture which is one of the most famous pieces of pop art in New York City on corner of Sixth Avenue at 55th Street, Midtown Manhattan. Which in little words summed up our family trip.

To say the least New York City never seems to disappoint, I had a great time with my little family and I would recommend to anyone who hasn't been to The Great Apple to just do it, I guarantee they will well worth it.

Stay Easie,

Love,

Cat.
